📡 Today’s brief
Google Gemini 3 Pro claims the benchmark crown
Google’s new flagship model features a massive 1M token context window and aggressive pricing ($2/1M input) designed to undercut OpenAI. For businesses, this is the new default for processing heavy documents. It handles 500-page contracts without the “retrieval” errors of smaller models.
DeepSeek V3.2 crashes the price of intelligence
At just $0.27 per million input tokens, DeepSeek’s new V3.2 model offers reasoning capabilities rivaling GPT-4 for a fraction of the cost. This essentially makes “background intelligence” free, perfect for high-volume data cleaning agents that run 24/7.3
Runway Gen-4.5 brings Hollywood camera control to ads
The new Gen-4.5 model allows for precise “choreography” and camera direction, solving the random movement issues of previous video AIs. Agencies can now generate specific B-roll shots (e.g., “slow pan left on coffee cup”) for ~$2, replacing expensive stock footage subscriptions.
Taskade Genesis builds apps from a single prompt
Taskade has launched “Genesis,” an AI builder that generates fully functional internal tools with persistent databases and automation loops from plain English. It bridges the gap between a static document and a working software tool for operations teams.
Dazl introduces “Vibe Coding” with visual control
A new platform called Dazl allows users to build full-stack web apps via chat but adds visual editing panels to tweak the UI without breaking the code. It solves the “black box” problem of AI builders by letting you adjust button colors and layouts manually while AI handles the logic.
Fluently Accent Guru takes Product Hunt by storm
A simple AI tool that identifies your English accent in 30 seconds went viral this week. While niche, it’s a masterclass in “Micro-SaaS” marketing, proving that simple, fun AI wrappers are still effective lead magnets for agencies.
💡 The “Code Red” is Your Green Light
I see something I haven’t seen since 2023: OpenAI is on the defensive.
Reports confirm Sam Altman issued an internal “Code Red” to focus entirely on ChatGPT improvements as Google’s Gemini 3 surges in enterprise adoption.
For the last two years, many of you built your entire AI stack on OpenAI. It was the safe bet. But this week, the “safe bet” became a liability. Clients are asking me why they are paying for GPT-4’s “thinking tokens” when Gemini 3 can process their 50-page SOP documents for half the price.
The market is shifting from brand loyalty to model agnosticism. If you are still hard-coding gpt-4o into your automations, you are overpaying. The “Code Red” means competition is fierce, and when giants fight, prices drop.
My advice: Audit your API usage this week. If you have high-volume tasks (classification, formatting), switch them to DeepSeek V3.2 or Gemini Flash. Stop paying a premium for a brand name when the commodity models just caught up.

💬 Community Q&A
Q: “What software should I use to automate getting ordered materials from invoices into a separate list?”
A: Don’t buy specialized “Invoice software”, build a data pipeline. We recently solved this by connecting a Google Drive folder to Gemini 3 Pro via Make. Gemini 3 has a massive context window and excellent visual capabilities, so you can pass the full PDF and prompt it to “Extract line items to JSON.” Map that output directly to Airtable or SmartSuite. Total cost is ~$0.05 per invoice, and unlike rigid software, you own the data structure.
